CONSTRUCTION OF HERRERA II (48 MW) BEGINS IN PALENCIA IN 2024

PFV Herrera II

In the third quarter of 2024, Grupo Zaragozá began construction of the HERRERA II solar plant, located in the municipalities of Prados de Ojeda and Dehesa de Romanos, in the province of Palencia. This new facility is located very close to the PFV HERRERA III plant, which has a capacity of 33.01 MWp.

HERRERA II will have a capacity of 52.18 MWp, integrating 160 inverters and more than 73,000 photovoltaic modules mounted on single-axis tracker structures, across an area of 92.91 hectares.

The plant is expected to generate 99,000 kWh of clean energy annually, helping to avoid the emission of 79.37 tons of CO₂ each year.

During the construction phase, more than 100 jobs will be created, with the involvement of local workers as well as Grupo Zaragozá teams.

We expect construction to be financed in the second half of 2025, with operations starting in 2026.
