GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ RE-SIGNS OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE (O&M) CONTRACT FOR LA RINCONADA PV PLANT

GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ annually renews its operation and maintenance (O&M) service at the 2.27MW LA RINCONADA PV plant, located in Córdoba (Spain).

We have been doing this for more than 13 years, since its launch in May 2010.

GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ thus continues maintaining and concurrently expanding its portfolio of photovoltaic plants under management in both Spain and Italy.

  • This plant consists of 21 108 kWp installations and a total of 10,584 panels supported on a fixed structure.
  • All this makes possible an estimated annual production of 3,250,781 kWh.
  • The reduction in CO₂ emissions is quantified at 2,591.28Tn/year.
  • Our O&M team carries out 24/7 preventive maintenance and, where appropriate, resolves any faults or breakdowns detected.

A curious anecdote is that, with the aim of helping to care for the local ecosystem, GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ controls pests such as rabbits using ferrets, in collaboration with approved local professionals.

This initiative is undertaken among many other measures to conserve the environment and biodiversity of native flora and fauna (livestock, bees, game species, trees, wild plants, crops, etc.).

There have been several sightings of Iberian Lynx at this plant, and we are delighted to receive these visits.

As you know, until very recently, this species was critically endangered, but thanks to its encouraging population growth, it is now classed as a “protected species”.
