GRUPO ZARAGOZÁ, WITH ITS MAINTENANCE OF THE VILLANUEVA I PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT, IS OPTIMALLY GENERATING ENERGY PRODUCTION

This plant has an installed capacity of 49.97 MWp and has been producing clean, inexhaustible, environmentally friendly energy since 27 April 2023.

The plant’s total surface area is 86.439 hectares, equivalent to approximately 96 football fields, and is located in Torrejoncillo del Rey, in the province of Cuenca.

Villanueva I has 77,664 bifacial solar modules of 640 and 645 Wp, which are installed on solar trackers.

It is estimated that this plant will generate around 101,902 MWh of energy per year and will save 81,228.80 tonnes of CO₂, which is equivalent to a potential saving of up to 2,843,008 tonnes of CO₂ over its 35-year lifetime.

Always faithful to the principles of our commitment to sustainability, we rely on the collaboration of a local sheep herder for vegetation control.

And in line with our corporate values, in this case our human resources policy, we have recruited qualified personnel from the area and continue to cooperate with local vocational training institutes by offering internships to students.
